Anthropic reported updated financials in an amended Form S-1 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. The artificial intelligence company said it generated about $17 billion in revenue in its third quarter, up roughly 1,127% from the same period last year.
Revenue growth slowed from earlier quarters, according to the filing. Third-quarter revenue rose about 47%, compared with 144% growth in the second quarter and 132% in the first. The company reported a net loss of $23.29 billion for the quarter.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, Anthropic said it generated $33.24 billion in revenue and posted a $104 billion net loss. The company said most of that loss came from changes in the fair value of convertible notes and derivative liabilities.
The filing also says Anthropic has entered into purchase commitments and lease agreements with an aggregate committed spend of about $895.4 billion. Anthropic said "substantially all of which is related to compute and infrastructure." Its compute and infrastructure expenses rose $14.4 billion for the nine months, up 329% from the same period last year.
"As our compute and infrastructure capacity grows, the associated compute and infrastructure expenses have increased," Anthropic said in the filing.
